For all of you college football fans, Rivalry Week is officially here! This Saturday, November 25th not only will Clemson face off against South Carolina for the Palmetto Bowl but teams around the country will battle their arch-rivals. Teams include Alabama vs. Auburn, FSU vs. Florida, North Carolina vs. NC State, & Ohio State vs. Michigan just to name a few. And now you can do more than just wear your gear & cheer – you can get in the game by joining the Rivalry Week Giving Challenge and give now here to support Bridges of Hope!
RULES OF THE GAME
The competition is simple. You have the chance to prove that your favorite college is not only more fierce on the field but more kind-hearted & generous off-the-field. Every donation you make in honor of your favorite team helps you outscore your rival. And when time expires, the school with the most donations to support grieving children & families will win the inaugural Hope Trophy.
We just kicked off the Giving Challenge here. You now have six full days to give prior to the clock running out Saturday night (11/25) at midnight. So, invite your friends, family, classmates, fellow alumni – everyone who shares the passion for your favorite team – to give early & often to make sure you outscore your rival on & off the field!
SCORE FOR GRIEVING KIDS THIS RIVALRY WEEK
Our Goal: $3,000 to send 10 children to Shannon’s Hope Camp in early March!
Every dollar you give will make an immediate & lasting impact in the Charleston area. Bridges of Hope is a grief support community for children, teens & their families. We help youth learn, connect, heal & grow after a death through camps, school groups, family workshops, and community rituals offered free of charge. 100% of your donation will help children connect with other kids who “get it” through a meaningful overnight camp experience complete with a beachfront cabin, healthy meals, a music therapy session, a candlelight ceremony, kite-flying on the beach, s’mores, and so much more. GET IN THE GAME FOR RIVALRY WEEK
Special thanks to Dekereon Joyner, a versatile multi-position player for the Gamecocks, for inspiring this challenge. A few months ago, DK made a generous donation to Bridges of Hope in honor of his first touchdown of the season. And that act of kindness got us to wondering – who is the most generous school/fan base? So, as you enjoy rivalry week, help us transform the clash of rivals into an inspirational contest of generosity through the Rivalry Week Giving Challenge, where the ultimate victory is making a lasting difference in the lives of children & families who’ve experienced a difficult loss.
Only you can ensure that your school takes home the Hope Trophy & title of “Most Generous Fanbase!” Just click “Give Now” & select the team you want to support. And if you don’t see your school listed or if you have any questions, please email tiara@bridgessc.org. The game is ON, and we hope you’ll join us!
Bridges of Hope is a 501 (c)(3) charity; all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
